Finished Science Fair Project

Hi again!

Here is my finished science fair project. Judging is tomorrow, but I am really sick so I don't know if I will be able to go. I really hope I will be able to though. A lot of the kids in my class have Scarlett Fever, but that is not what I have, though the throat swab results won't come in until Monday. Here are some pictures:

It's my lucky day!!

Yayyy!!

Today I was feeling especially good since I had studied really well for my math test. So I decided to take out the trash for mom. As I pushed the garbage can down I looked at the curb. All the water had collected in the indent and frozen. And you'll never guess what was in the frozen water..... A 5 dollar bill!! So we chipped away at it until it came out.

And I aced my math test!!!!

It snowed again yesterday. Ughhhh. It was pretty bad because they closed up all the afterschool activites. Today I am working on my Science Fair Project because it is due next week. I am basing my project  on the primitive water purification methods of the ancient Indians. I still have alot to do!  Hope you are all doing fine. Bye!

2 more treats!

Hi! Hope you are all having a great weekend. I have 2 more treats for you today:

Almond Dream Cookies:

I LOVE almond paste. It's relatively easy to find at grocery stores and very versatile. For those of you who haven't tried it yet, you should hop on the Almond paste bandwagon. This recipe is from King Aurthur's Flour.

We also made the best brownies I have ever eaten. They are called Classic Fudge-Walnut Brownies, and are super moist and delicious!

Here are the pictures ( It's really bad, but I forgot to take pictures until after people had already eaten, so I tried to arrange it so that you couldn't see the gaps.)

Advice!

Hi everyone! I was just wondering about what you think about the Kindle Fire. I don't know if any of you have it, but I was thinking about getting it. I sounds really good, but I have heard some bad reviews. If you could let me know, that would be great!

Today we got our first major snowfall. We were really excited, and as soon as we got home Neil and Kiren went out to play.  The roads are really slick and we are hoping it won't turn to ice. Maybe we'll get a day off from school tomorrow.....

Sorry about the window glare, but I refuse to exit the house.

Thanks!!

Hi everyone!

I logged on today and saw all the comments I had. It made me so excited to hear from all of you!! Thanks so much for your help and words of encouragement. I may do the writing, but without you it would be all worthless.... Getting back into the swing of things this week has been hard, but I'm managing. Here are 2 random questions, just to enlighten you.

Your people want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of and what victory will it commemorate?

I would like my statue to be made of steel so that it would stay in good contition for a long time. It would commemorate me just being alive.

What spells can you cast with magic markers?

Pictures. They can be magical.

Random Questions!!

Okay.... so here's the full story.....

I was updating my profile when I found this thing called 'Random Question' and decided to try it. So here are a few of them for your delight!

In the dream where you show up to school naked, why do you never go swimming?

Because there isn't a swimming pool near my school. And I have a self reputation to obtain :)

You're in the grocery store with a broken cart. How will you ever be that hungry?

Okayy..... ummm... Well I'm going to answer the question here 'How will you ever be that hungry?'
If I was a starved child then maybe. Depending on what there is to eat.

Which do you prefer and why: whittling with soap or whistling with wood?

Well, I've actually never whittling before, but I think soap would be be easier because it can't give you splinters.

What's the earliest you've gotten up to watch cartoons and what did you see?

Most of the cartoons I watch don't come on in the morning, so I guess I haven't gotten up early to watch cartoons yet.

If your whole body were a hot air balloon, would you stop eating spicy food?

Ha!!! Spicy food doesn't give me gas, thank you.

When you hesitate before hitting snooze on your alarm clock, are you being lazy?

No. Actually, you're being the opposite of lazy by thinking about getting up and being early instead of just wanting to sleep some more.

Radio wire is often used to make bird nests. What station do they listen to?

Ummmm..... Well, considering I am not a bird, I don't actually know. Probably something that plays fast songs.

What would you name your ballet inspired by the sight of children leaping through a garden sprinkler?

Sprinkler Days!

What kind of tape is best for creating a sculpture?

Masking tape because it comes off.

If you were a wrestler, what would be your finishing move?

Sitting on top of my opponent, because if you have your butt in their face, it's pretty obvious that you've won.

Chicken monkey shoes?

Is that even a question?

What's the best time you've ever had licking stamps?

I don't think I've ever licked a stamp. Now they are like stickers, so you don't have to lick them.

Whoops! Your tongue is now a magnet. Whatever will you use for silverware?

My hand.

Aren't papier mache cuts the worst?

No. Papier mache is soft. And I don't think I've ever gotten cut by it.

So??? Did you like my random questions?? Comment if you did!!!

Ciao for now!
